Xiaomi is the world’s best-selling wearables brand after Apple, with cheap Mi fitness bands making up the bulk of its sales. While the Mi Band 4 costs no more than US$40, its spinoff Redmi is now beating that price with a US$13 fitness band.
The Redmi Band sports a 1.08-inch touchscreen -- larger than the Mi Band 4’s 0.95-inch display. Like most fitness bands, it can measure your heart rate, track your sleep and remind you to get up for a walk. The strap comes in four different colors: Black, blue, red and olive green. A USB connector attaches directly to the screen and hides inside the strap. To charge, pull out the strap and plug it directly into a USB port -- no external charger is needed. Redmi says a single charge can last 14 days.
The Redmi Band goes up for preorder in China on April 9.
