Microsoft Ignite is an enterprise IT event held annually for developers. This year’s tour had already completed stops in some Asian cities before the end of January, including stops in Beijing, Shenzhen, Tokyo and Seoul. Upcoming events in Mumbai and Bengaluru that are scheduled for early April haven't been canceled.

The coronavirus outbreak has led to the cancellation of major international events, including MWC Barcelona, Facebook’s Global Marketing Summit and even fashion weeks. The organizers of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which is scheduled to open on July 24, are reportedly also struggling with coming up with a viable plan.
