Oppo launched its first smartwatch ever on Friday… and it looks like the Apple Watch. Both have a curved rectangular display instead of a round screen like traditional watches. But the Oppo Watch doesn’t have a circular dial on the side like Apple’s.
Looks aside, the Oppo Watch costs much less. For as little as 1,499 yuan (US$216), you can have a smartwatch that can take calls using an eSIM and supports NFC. It also has a host of health-related features, such as heart rate and sleep monitoring. It also comes with Oppo’s VOOC Flash Charging tech, which the company says can fully charge the watch in 75 minutes for 40 hours of use.
The 46mm Oppo Watch is also water-resistant up to 50 meters. That doesn’t actually mean you can take it for a dive, though you can probably do some swimming (or white water rafting) with it. It goes on sale in China on March 24.
