The Pokémon-inspired earbuds are adorable, but might not be released outside China

China’s Pokémon fans are getting a treat from Razer. The gaming tech company is launching a new pair of Pikachu-themed wireless earbuds. And as a nice touch, the charging case comes in the form of a Poké Ball.

At 849 yuan (US$120), it would probably be unfair to expect these to be the best wireless earbuds money can buy. Razer says the earbuds last three hours on a single charge or, when combined with the charging case, 15 hours overall. They also don’t have active noise cancellation like Apple’s AirPods Pro, although they sell for half the price. But who needs such flourishes when you get Pikachu’s “pika pika” for sound alerts?

The earbuds go on sale in China on April 16. Razer did not respond to questions about its availability outside mainland China. But another Pokémon-themed product from Razer remains only available in China. The company released a Pikachu keyboard, mouse and mouse pad set last October for 799 yuan (US$113).
