For most of the last decade, Riot Games was coasting on just one game: League of Legends. Now the company is further capitalizing on the brand with two new tie-in games, the company announced at this year’s The Game Awards.

The first game revealed was Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, which is a single-player, turn-based RPG being developed by Airship Syndicate, the company behind Darksiders Genesis. The second game is CONV/RGENCE: A League of Legends Story, a single-player action platformer for PC and console from Double Stallion Games. Both are part of Riot Games’ new publishing program Riot Forge, which was unveiled last week.

Riot Games, which is owned by Chinese tech giant Tencent, has recently been looking to branch out from its core League of Legends game. Earlier this year, the company announced that it’s working on three new titles: A fighting game, an action RPG and a card game. Now it’s looking to work with other gaming companies to publish games set within the League of Legends universe under the Riot Forge brand.

League of Legends didn’t just get two new games at The Game Awards. It also won Esports Game of the Year, and the 2019 League of Legends World Championship won Best Esports Event of the Year.
